Why we exist

INATA was built to hold onto something essential. High on the mountain slopes of Ainata, we learned that a bottle of wine carries as much meaning as the landscape itself.

Raw limestone and thin air have a voice; our job is to listen before we bottle. We farm at extreme altitudes, working in close harmony with the land through minimal intervention, far removed from mass production and industrial excess.

We craft wine shaped directly by stone and sun, made to bring people together.

Roots and approach

Our process started with a deep respect for the physical landscape of Ainata.

We approach winemaking by stepping back, letting the natural chemistry of the limestone terrain take priority.

Weathered vines, mineral grit, seasonal shifts: these characteristics stay in the bottle. They record the work, the land, and the year.

Built from the Rock

We jacketed the winery exterior in wire-caged layers of mountain limestone and granite. The walls are functional thermal mass. By stacking light limestone alongside dense granite, we create a heavy, high-density barrier that insulates the cellar against the severe heat and sudden cold shifts of 1680 meters.
